Not resolved

I placed an order in which they cancelled the majority of it (I was ordering party favors for a bachelorette party). The only thing that wasn't cancelled was an item I didn't really need, but added on since I was placing the order anyways.

Well, they didn't give me notice that they cancelled my items.

Since I live in Hawaii, paying $20+ for one item (a bachelorette sash that barely weighs anything), that I wasn't really sold on in the first place, is a lot. That $10 sash quickly became a $30 sash, and it only had 2 star reviews. I would have never placed an order for that without the other items. I should have been told in advance that my items were going to be cancelled.

When I contacted Michaels, they offered a half-hearted apology, and didn't offer a prorated refund for the shipping.

I'll gladly pay the cost of shipping for the sash, but there is no way it costs $20+. That could fit in a USPS envelope for $7.

It's very disappointing. I just would have appreciated advanced notice, so I could have cancelled the order.
